Submissions Guidelines
In order to ensure the accuracy of the information provided by MormonQuotes.com it is essential that all submissions adhere to the following guidelines.

Any quotes that are submitted must be verified by at least one or more of the following rules in order of preference:

1.  Quote must be obtained or verified in printed form. Books, Magazines, Newspapers, Journals or Memoirs are examples of acceptable formats. These formats must be published by the LDS church, organizations affiliated with the LDS Church or by authors that were members of the LDS church at the time of publication.

2.  All printed submissions must include references with minimum requirements including; Author and Publication Source. Additional information is highly recommended which may include but is not limited to; Volume, Page Number, Paragraph, Publishing Company, and Publication Date.

3.  Always include a digital photograph, scanned image or mail a photocopy of all quotes that are submitted. If you are not able to provide that information please clearly indicate that fact. If we are not able to authenticate the supplied quote with the information that we have available to us in our library we will not be able to include that quote in our database.

4.  The least acceptable method of verifying quote submissions will be to provide a Internet link. The ONLY acceptable links will be from official church sources and in some cases affiliated organizations such as BYU. Each quote will be judged on it's own merit and the reputation of the LDS source which is cited.

5.  Additional resources would include; computer based LDS electronic libraries. These sources will be judged individually and closely compared with existing information within our library. Any differences will be closely scrutinized and the oldest verifiable quote will be utilized.

6.  A transcript of a Video is acceptable. All transcripts must be verified by submitting a VHS tape or a digital movie. The quote must come from an identifiable LDS member. Any tapes that do not include "High Profile" individuals or from a recognizable broadcasting source will not be accepted.

7.  An audio transcript is acceptable but must be submitted with the original tape recording. All tapes must be original and labeled professionally from a reputable source. Copies of tapes or questionable sources will not be accepted.
